Here's a bird that looks a lot like the Purple Gallinule I posted the other day; however, it is not a Purple Gallinule. It is a Gray-headed Swamp Hen. It's legs are a red-orange (not yellow) and its head shield is red (not blue). Its beak is red (the Purple Gallinule's has a red bill with a yellow tip). It is also larger than the Purple Gallinule. They are easily confused and one needs to be careful in identifying which bird you are seeing in the field.
