Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge in Florida was chock full of fabulous birds this week. We don't often see a Wilson's Snipe but this week we saw around ten. Moreover, most were close enough to photograph. The tough part was catching their heads above water as they kept bobbing up and down to catch insects and worms in the soil below the water.
