Easy Dust Spot Removal with Luminar Neo
I don't know about you, but my digital camera sensor is filthy with dust. Especially when I am shooting landscape photos with my aperture stopped down to f/11 or f/16, I end up with dust spots all over my images, meaning I have to spend several minutes in Photoshop cleaning up the spots. This is a monumental waste of time, but now there is a powerful solution that allows you to quickly and easily remove dust spots from your pictures. Luminar Neo by Skylum has a fantastic Remove Dust Spots tool, which makes dust spot removal as easy as clicking a button. You can learn more by watching the video below:
Luminar Neo can be used as a standalone product (it has lots of image editing and photo manipulation features as well), or as a plugin filter for Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop. I use Neo as a plugin for Photoshop. Typically, I create a duplicate layer before activating the Luminar Neo plugin; that way, I can mask out any parts of the image where I don't like the dust spot removal results (for example, you might want to do this for dust spots that are on the edge of landscape features sticking up into the sky, you might prefer to do precision content-aware fill edits for removal of these dust spots).

Really useful video! Glad you found it helpful and a time-saver, Ian. It's my 'go-to' tool when the dust spots are at that nearly overwhelming stage. I had not tried that on an image with water spots on the lens, but that is great to know that it did so well, especially when I head to the beach for storm shots.
