How to Use PhotoPills

In this webinar replay, I'm joined by Rafael Pons from PhotoPills. PhotoPills is an indispensable tool for photographers who want to take outstanding images at the perfect time. You can use this clever smartphone app to plan your photoshoots, discover new locations, visualize night sky information in real time, and more!

Watch the video below to get an overview of the app's most impressive features.

Here are some amazing PhotoPills tools that you can use to elevate your shooting experience:

  • Augmented Reality - You can use PhotoPill's advanced AR feature to figure out where the sun, moon, Milky Way, etc., will be at any given time. This can help you plan your photoshoots so that the light is exactly how you want it to be.

  • Photo Planning - You can use PhotoPills to confidently plan your photoshoots in advance. Not sure where the moon will be located? Use the detailed map to pin your location and visualize its position according to where you'll be standing, the date, and the time of day. You can also pick the camera, lens, and aperture you'll be using to get a clear picture of what you'll be able to capture from a certain distance.

  • Location Scouting - Using the pin tool, you can virtually travel the world and find photo-worthy locations for your next photoshoot. The team at PhotoPills is planning to create a 3D map that will make visualization even easier, so stay tuned for that!

  • Sun and Moon Information - You can easily calculate when the sun and moon will be at different times of day, depending on the exact location from which you'd like to photograph them. This is a powerful tool that will help you capture the best possible photographs anywhere.

There are many more features available in the app, many of which Rafael covers in the video above. Make sure to check out PhotoPills and all of its impressive features for an unforgettable photography experience!

I slowed the audio playback down to 0.75 speed and that helped very much and then turn on closed captioning and you can read the presentation. These two actions made the presentation 100% understandable to me. I hope this suggestion works for you as well. Best Regards, Rich

I had a hard time understanding his English. Closed captions would be awesome or a transcript of the video. The built-in CC also struggled to get his words correct. Many thanks for providing the video.
